Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm Museum Event to feature USCT & Ties to the Fort community Descendant members of the Fort community will be participating in a living history event sponsored by Fort Ward Museum, when Civil War reenactors present a U.S. Colored Troops encampment with educational programs. A Fort interpretive station will be included in the program to share information about the history of the community, and to highlight several USCT soldiers who were ancestors of Fort residents.
