Here's the 3rd Regiment Infantry USCT,  based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 
Check out the Fifth Regiment of the U.S. Colored Cavalry,  originally organized in Kentucky and comprised mostly of ex-slaves. Here's a Web site devoted to the history of a unit comprised of men of African descent, slaves, ex-slaves, and free men—that fought for the Union cause during the Civil War.
A newly formed USCT unit,  8th Regiment Infantry USCT, out of Pennsylvania. Originally formed at Camp William Penn near Philadelphia in the fall of 1863.  It's members were free men from Pennsylvania, including many from the central part of the state and runaway slaves from nearby border states.
The 38th United States Colored Troops, Company D
 The 38th Regiment of United States Colored Troops (U.S.C.T.), Company D, is an reenactment/living history organization based in the Richmond & Central Virginia area, & also Northeastern North Carolina. which seeks to accurately portray the life of the black soldiers & civilians during the American Civil War of 1861-1865.

An outstanding site to view some of the Causes of the Civil War
Hartwick College site -  United States Colored Troops Institute for Local History
and Family Research dedicated to research, preservation, and remembrance. An educational institute to promote and encourage original historical and genealogical research about the 200,000 colored men and their white officers who comprised the US Colored Troops during the Civil War.
Saint-Gaudens National Historical Site - A National Parks Service Site dedicated to the exhibits, home, and gardens of Augustus Saint-Gaudens
